Nose: Rich, dark and sticky. It opens with dark caramel, unrefined brown sugar and a heavy bowl of tropical fruits, balanced by a bitter note of burnt lemon wheel. A delicate, garden-fresh floral life of orange blossom keeps the nose from becoming too heavy.
Palate: Big, oily and wonderfully rich. Overripe pineapple and a hit of proper rummy funk take centre stage, supported by wet cereal. Fresh orange slices, toasted coconut and vanilla custard. Soft, bruised banana and warm toasted oak add to a wonderfully heavy, coating mouthfeel.
Finish: Long, tropical and textured. The oily weight carries all the way through to the end, lingering on toasted coconut, overripe banana, soft custard and a delicate, warming touch of baking spice.
Non-chill filtered and natural colour. This spirit may haze at low temperatures and under dilution.
