This bottling is composed of butt and a hogshead of 1986 blended Scotch whisky of origin unknown, bottled at 38 years of age, without chill-filtration or the addition of colour, and with very minimal dilution (0.7%).
The butt arrived at our warehouse harbouring some delightfully old-school peat and tertiary, dunnage notes, whereas the hogshead was much more fruity and fresh. These were married together, with ease of drinking in mind, designed to showcase a style of blended scotch whisky from days of yore.
GPT’d version (better)
A blend of rare Scotch whisky from the distant year of 1986, origins lost in the cosmic mists. Two distinct barrels had made the interstellar journey to this point—a butt that had sailed through the void, carrying with it the ancient whispers of peat and the deep, earthy resonance of forgotten worlds. Its companion, a hogshead, radiated with the bright, fruity essence of fresh starfruit, harvested from the orchards of a planet long abandoned.
As the two were united in a zero-gravity dance, the blend came alive—a harmonious fusion of timeworn traditions and crisp new beginnings. This concoction was not merely for drinking; it was a liquid chronicle, a nod to the old ways of the Scotchmasters who roamed the Earth before humanity spread among the stars. Designed for the pleasure of those who appreciate the echoes of the past while floating in the endless expanse of space.
