Nose: Plum crumble and apricot twists give way to richer Jamaican ginger cake and dark chocolate. (Shavings of at least 85% cocoa solids in a Bournville drinking chocolate tub.)
Palate: Cacao nibs, light tannin, cloves and a full chunk of chocolate but none of these sit heavily. A little lighter than the nose suggests.
Finish: ‘Well-Sherried’ mincemeat, musty sandalwood, fresh red peppercorns and almond oil.
