TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SALE
Please read these terms and conditions carefully as they affect your rights and liabilities under the law and set out the terms under which Dornoch Distillery Company Ltd (“we”) makes its products available to you. We are registered in Scotland under company number SC442507 with our registered office at Burnfarm Steading, Killen, Avoch, IV9 8RQ.
All orders for goods placed by you via the online order form shall be deemed to be an offer by you, the buyer, to purchase goods pursuant to these terms and conditions. You, the buyer, shall be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the details provided in your order and we will not be obliged to accept an order unless all details requested have been provided correctly.
You must be aged at least 18 years to purchase from Dornoch Distillery Company Ltd. In the UK it is illegal for any person under the age of 18 to buy, or attempt to buy, alcohol for themselves or for any other person under the age of 18.
All prices are shown in GBP (British Pound). If you ship or store in the UK you will pay UK VAT if you ship your items outwith the UK you will not pay UK VAT but will be liable for any local duties & taxes applicable when the package arrives at your border.
Prices shown on the site for any products or services offered are subject to change without notice. Any price changes will be notified and confirmed to you before dispatch to give you the opportunity to cancel your order.
Prices shown for products on the site are not inclusive of the delivery charge. You will be advised of the cost of delivery on the website at the time your order is accepted.
Dornoch Distillery Company Ltd reserves the right to alter the prices of the goods on offer online at any time without prior notice.
We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.
All products offered are subject to availability and we cannot guarantee the availability of the products listed.
If we are unable to fulfill your order we will contact you within 3 working days of receiving your order.
Your payment details will be encrypted to minimise the possibility of unauthorised access or disclosure. Authority for payment must be given at the time of order. You will be automatically charged for your order once your payment details have been accepted. Our liability to you in connection with any order will not exceed the total price charged for the relevant items.
We will not ship directly to Auction Houses unless prior arrangements are made directly with Dornoch Distillery – We understand some foreign customers use consolidation services provided by whisky auction houses.
As all products and services are subject to availability, there will be no contract of any kind between you and us unless and until we actually process and dispatch the goods to you. At any point up until then, we may decline to supply the goods to you without giving any reason.
We ship weekly due to our remote location. DHL and Menzies are the couriers we use.
We can deliver to your home or work address, as you have entered it on the order. We cannot accept any liability if the quoted address is incorrect or incomplete. Deliveries to work addresses shall be deemed successful if a representative at that address accepts and signs for the goods.
We will always do our best to fulfil your order as quickly as possible. We ship to our courier once a week due to the remote location of the Distillery. If your order is time-specific please do contact us prior to ordering. If goods fail to arrive after 28 days from date of order, please notify us on firstname.lastname@example.org. We do our best to secure delivery within 28 days of the date of your order, but shall not be liable for loss occasioned by delay in delivery arising out of any cause beyond our control.
In the event that the order is returned to us by the courier or otherwise due to non-delivery, Dornoch Distillery Company Ltd gives the purchaser the option of resending the purchase at the purchaser’s expense or refunding the purchase less the cost of postage and packing. We cannot deliver to PO boxes.
Ballot entries are strictly limited to one per person/per household. When you checkout with a ballot entry and enter your card details, Dornoch Distillery will place a ‘hold’ on your account for the cost of the product.
If you win the ballot, the amount is automatically removed from your account. If you do not win the ballot the ‘hold’ is released. When there is a hold on your account, you cannot spend the money. It may take several days for your bank to allow you access to that amount after we (Dornoch Distillery) drop the hold. These holds are dropped automatically so if there is an issue, please talk to your bank.
As stated previously, we do not store your card details.

REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY
If you change your mind and wish to return purchased bottle(s), they must be unopened and returned within 30 days of your order and we will issue a full refund.
