Nose: Rich, fruity, and lifted. It opens with a warm compote of pineapple and lemongrass, tinned pears, and a bright splash of Jarritos mandarin soda. Herbal, floral notes of chamomile and meadowsweet drift in, supported by sweet oak, vanilla, and caramelised sugar. As it sits in the glass, it reveals subtle pine resin, crisp white grape skin, and dried apricot.
Palate: Sweet, coaty, and wonderfully viscous. There’s plenty of citrus peel – some fresh, some candied – alongside more pineapple, pine resin, and juicy white grape. The stone fruit character builds right through the middle, bringing a mix of fresh and dried apricots that give the palate a brilliant, heavy texture.
Finish: It kicks off with a quick touch of oak spice before turning completely “Clynelish-y” – ending on a long, coating note of candle wax infused with orange peel and a splash of cocktail bitters.
