Following our Glenburgie 17 small batch vatting this spring, we unearthed another vein of golden Glenburgie 17 and created this second batch, keeping the same recipe as the first – because ‘ If it ain’t broke’?

Pairs equally well with Japanese Jazz or Eurovision.

Nose: Dried chunks of mango, peach iced tea, marshmallows and warm summer afternoons. Cashews, tobacco mixed with tonka beans, pea shoots, white chocolate and really sugary shortbread

Palate: Mango, peach and physalis with custard creams on the side. Lychees, soda water, sandalwood spice. It’s hard to get away from the fruit on the palate. Towards the back end, you get some wax and chalk.

Finish: Yep, still fruit. Gooseberry, overly ripe raspberry, lime and the acceptance that summer is almost over but everything is still going to be OK.
